Hello everyone, Clay Collins here. I am the host of the Marketing Show and the co-founder of LeadPages, and Google recently came out with version 3 of their Creator Playbook. It is a comprehensive document that talks about how to do well on YouTube, how to rank well on YouTube, and how to make your channel successful. And in the Playbook, they basically tell you how to rank in YouTube, and how the YouTube algorithm works.

A couple things from this Playbook that I found interesting, likes and favorites increase your video’s ranking in search. We all knew this before, but Google hasn’t really come out and just said it. So the Playbook clearly defines this and sets this forth. Another thing, it says having a lot of responses to your content also helps improve your search ranking. In other words, getting responses to a video that you want to rank for your businesses, number one most important keyword is a good thing because if you get lots of responses and video responses in particular to these videos, you can increase the chances that you’re going to rank for this term. Another thing that came out in this, another encouragement from Google is that you should respond to comments in the first few hours after your video is posted because those viewers are your core audience and building comments early helps you increase your ranking in the YouTube search engine.

So with this in mind, we worked with LeadPages customers and noted YouTube expert, James Wedmore, to create this landing page to help you do better on YouTube and help you to rank better on YouTube. As you can see, it is mobile responsive and it does a lot of things really well. The first thing that it does is it allows folks to subscribe to your YouTube channel from the page and without having to leave the page. All you have to do is drop in your YouTube channel name and this widget will show up on the page. It’s as simple as that. The second thing that this does is it encourages folks to click here and leave a comment on the featured video, right? So you want to direct people by clicking here to go to the most important video on your channel. The video that’s going to rank for your market’s most important keyword and your businesses most important keyword, and you want to encourage people to leave a comment on that video because that’s going to do really well for you and your channel in terms of ranking. And then if people completes step one and step two, then they can enter their email address and get this YouTube report.

So this template was, in essence, designed from the ground up to boost the visibility of your channel and to boost the ranking of your videos on YouTube. If you’re an advance user, this template is available immediately below for you to download and implement in your business. Here’s how to use this page. It does require some coding if you’re an advance user. You need to download the template and modify using html and your CSS skills. You need to use again your coding skills to integrate your landing page with AWeber, MailChimp, etcetera. You need to grab the landing page code that you’ve then generated and integrate it with the WordPress, Facebook, etcetera, and then publish the page. If you are a LeadPages customer, all you need to do is modify your landing page in LeadPages. Let LeadPages handle the integration with your email service provider; IE, MailChimp, AWeber, OfficeAutoPilot, etcetera, and then publish it to Facebook, WordPress or your own server with the click of a button. So again, if you are a LeadPages user, just scroll down to the bottom, find the YouTube landing page co-created with YouTube expert James Wedmore. Click on ‘Use this template.’ All you need to do is click here, insert your video embed code from YouTube. You can change any of these texts to make it fit the way you like to do things. You can change the color settings and options. You can change the fonts.

To make this widget work for your channel, just click here and type in the name of your channel. Once you do that, it’s going to populate with the information for your channel. To integrate it with your email service provider whether that’s MailChimp, Infusionsoft, AWeber, iContact, whatever you use, just scroll down here and go to ‘Opt-in form integration.’ Click on it. Find the list you want it to integrate with. Just click on it in one click, and boom, it is integrated with your email service provider so when people opt-in, they’re opting in to your list, then click on save, and then with the click of a button, you can publish it to WordPress, you can publish it to Facebook as a Facebook tab, or you can download the file, put it on your own server and publish it yourself. You can also host it through us. Anyway, that template is immediately available to LeadPages customers, and it is immediately downloadable as an html template to anyone who is so inclined.

This is Clay Collins with the Marketing Show and with LeadPages, and I thank you for watching this episode of the Marketing Show. Have a wonderful, beautiful day. Take care.
